Effect of childcare teachers' emotional labor, self-comfort ability, and social support on burnout

Abstract
This study aimed to find a way to prevent burnout of childcare teachers by examining the effects of emotional labor, self-comfort ability, and social support on burnout. To this end, a survey was conducted on 360 childcare teachers at private and public daycare centers in Gyeonggi Province, and correlation, t-test, F-test, and multiple regression analysis were conducted using the SPSS 23.0 program. The main results of this study are as follows.
First, the age and working organization of childcare teachers were found to had a significant relationship with self-comfort ability, social support, and burnout. Second, it was found that self-comfort ability and social support had a negative effect on burnout of childcare teachers, and emotional labor had a positive effect on burnout. Third, self-comfort, emotional support, inner behavior, resilience, and physical comfort of childcare teachers were found to affect burnout. Based on these results, suggestions for preventing burnout of childcare teachers were presented.
